‘Nole Notes 6/14/09 6-8 Thursday Night Lives Begin! Hello Band! I hope that you are enjoying your summer break. You have been looking forward to good times with your friends and family, so cherish them all! REPORT TIME FOR T.N.L. IS 5:45!!!!! TNL itineraries will be simple: 6pm-6:50pm marching fundamentals, 7pm-7:50pm music sectionals, 7:50pm clean up, announcements, 8pm dismissal. I am asking that we establish good habits of punctuality and accountability from day 1 – WE MUST BE ON TIME FOR BAND EVENTS! Attendance will be taken this summer and there will be perks associated with good attendance and punctuality. The hardest workers deserve rewards! There have been questions regarding MANDATORY summer rehearsals. A simple rule of thumb is this; If you are in town, come to rehearsal! I understand that families travel in the summer, but we need you here to get the type of start to our season that we want. Don’t spend your Thursday evenings anywhere but here getting the instruction that you need to improve! Our show is shaping up to be awesome! And as always……BRING A FRIEND! WE NEED GREAT KIDS LIKE YOU TO MAKE OUR BAND GROW IN BOTH QUANTITY AND QUALITY. I’M COUNTING ON YOU! Goal for this week; · Show up early to make sure that you have the music and instrument you need to be ready to go in FUN-block at 6pm sharp! · Parents are asked to come in with students to verify paperwork and vote as a body for a special educational scholarship………. Very short S.I.M.B.A. Booster Meeting 6pm in the Band Portable! Let’s have 100% parent attendance and participation – we need our PARENTS! Danny/Elizabeth/Katie - I am so happy to have such highly motivated/qualified people involved. It will be a great year! Mr. McCue will not be at the first TNL – fun block will be winds only, and it will be run by Donny Huynh w/ assistance by Mr. Boyd and the Staff. Color Guard/Dance/Percussion have a full 2 hour sectional rehearsal.
