Southeast High School Bands Jazz Band Program -2009 Ron Lambert. Director of Bands The Southeast Jazz Band is a voluntary group comprised of outstanding student musicians who are eager to learn and perform JAZZ - the true AMERICAN music art form.
This group will rehearse after school on selected days from 2:30-4:30 pm with a few extra rehearsals as districts approach. They will play music that fulfills our requirement for Jazz Ensemble I as a Class BB school for the Florida Bandmaster's Association. Improvisation and Stage performance are required for the FBA Jazz MPA. Mr. Lambert will choose the 5 saxes, 4 bones, 5 trumpets and 4 rhythm section members for the MPA Ensemble. We will have a second Jazz Combo that is for less experienced Jazzers interested in making the Top Band in the future. This group will also go to MPA if sufficient progress is made. Everyone is invited to participate.
